Computer Science Student | Building Strong Software Foundations

I’m a computer science student at Western Governors University focused on building strong software foundations through structured coursework, hands-on practice, and real-world technical experience. I’m developing core skills in programming, problem-solving, and system thinking while learning how to translate requirements into working code. My nontraditional background has strengthened my discipline, attention to detail, and ability to learn independently—skills I apply daily as I work toward a career in software engineering.

I started learning computer science with little hands-on experience and quickly realized that progress comes from consistency and patience. Over time, I’ve shifted my focus toward understanding core programming concepts, breaking problems down, and writing cleaner, more structured code. As I continue learning, I’m building confidence by turning concepts into working programs and improving step by step through practice and coursework.
Developed a web-based calculator using JavaScript to handle arithmetic logic, user input, and dynamic interface updates.

Built a personal website using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, implementing interactive features through event handling and DOM manipulation to enhance user experience.

Designed and implemented a console-based application using OOP to manage student records, enforcing data validation, and meet defined specifications.
